Abstract

This article analyzes the evolution of bank lending in the context of global digitalization and the transition to sustainable development. The study examines the shift from traditional creditworthiness assessment methods to modern models based on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and ESG principles. Based on a chronological analysis for the period 2010–2025, the key stages of the credit market transformation are identified, including the impact of the pandemic as a catalyst for digital change. Special attention is paid to the implementation of "green" loans and the automation of decision-making processes. The article concludes with practical recommendations for improving algorithmic models and harmonizing international regulatory standards.
