Abstract

This article scientifically analyzes the factors affecting the income and standard of living of the population, as well as the main causes of poverty. Based on global and national experience, the concept of poverty, its measurement criteria and classification are highlighted. Also, the formation of incomes of the population in Uzbekistan, inequality between them and socio-economic mechanisms for its reduction are considered. As a result of the study, proposals and conclusions were developed aimed at reducing poverty, increasing the standard of living of the population and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
