Keywords:
Context, Linguistic Studies, Modernity.Abstract
This study is based on studying the context and its effect on directing the meaning in the verses of notification and guardianship. The study included the context in its linguistic and non-linguistic types to reach a contextual analysis of the verses to reveal the meaning. The researcher defined the context and addressed its types. As for the research plan, it was an introduction, two requirements, and a conclusion. Regarding the introduction, I presented a statement of the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, the methodology followed in the study, and the definition of the context and its types. The first requirement included the verse of notification, and I talked about the situational context represented by the reasons for revelation and its relationship to the Quranic meaning in the view of the interpreters and the researcher, according to the Imami and in the general narrations. I then presented the linguistic context represented by the linguistic, lexical, and grammatical meaning of the verse. As for the second requirement, it included the verse of guardianship and with the same methodological steps followed in terms of the situational and linguistic context. The study concluded by stating the methodological procedures that the researcher followed in her study of the Quranic meaning and how to reach it through the mechanism of the grammatical semantic meaning. Despite the difference in the narratives that accompanied the revelation of the Qur’anic texts, what did not differ in it is the new information that these narratives highlighted in the hands of the research in terms of concept and words. The research and its directions required that its demands be related to the nature of the words and structures that appeared in the studied verses. In order to achieve her goal, the researcher followed a descriptive and analytical approach, which she committed to in this study, based on mixing the lexical meaning of the word whose meaning is to be determined with its grammatical and semantic meaning in the verse. This mixing is likely to show the face and reason for choosing this word in the grammatical position in which it appeared without other words, with the availability of the ability in the producer of the Qur’anic text to replace the word with another belonging to the same semantic field. One of the pillars of this study was to rely on the linguistic contexts in which the word was used in the Holy Qur’an in general, in addition to its specific context in which it appeared, which was the starting point for the research and analysis process; Because of its impact on understanding the semantic features of the Qur’anic word.
