Abstract

The research aims to identify the attitudes of the Iraqi public toward public relations methods in dealing with anti-corruption campaigns. Based on the foregoing, the main question of the research can be defined as (What are the attitudes of the Iraqi public toward government public relations methods in dealing with anti-corruption campaigns?). The study is considered one of the descriptive studies that focus on describing the phenomenon under study precisely. The researcher used the survey method, which targets surveying a sample of the public of the city of Baghdad to measure government public relations methods and the public's attitude toward them. The researcher also used the questionnaire and scale as tools to measure the impact on public attitudes. The researcher used a multi-stage sample in determining the surveyed public, by using random selection and the lottery system to distribute the questionnaire and scale form, which amounted to 100 forms. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are:
1- (Official) social media platforms came in first place as the most prominent communication medium relied upon by the Iraqi public to follow anti-corruption campaigns.
2. The results showed that anti-corruption campaigns bring the relationship between the government and the people closer.
3- The results revealed that the Iraqi public sees the concealment of the names of those involved in corruption cases as among the most prominent issues that weaken their confidence in following anti-corruption campaigns.
